In Car PC

I have the PC built now and have a nice screen to mount in the front. Just recieved the ball mount from Ray, but now looking for the "bit" inbetween. What is everyone using? Homemade or off the shelf buy.

Mark, I'm using a lillyput touchscreen and found the mount for that was poor, so I used part of it but screwed it into a part of a windscreen mount. Have you chosen the software to run on it? What did you go for? If you want some photos let me know and I'll take some for you tomorrow.

I'm running MM. Have both the UK in 1:50 and 1:25K. Plus a few other bits and pieces on there. The screen is a bit bigger than yours Whistle . I'm going to be running a 15" touchscreen monitor. All nicely tucked up in an Ali sport welded ali enclosure Bow down Bow down .

Si I need a nice strong mount for it. I've looked at the Ram mount site but the big arm set up is over a 100 quid Shocked . So looking for a more suitable solution. ie cheaper Rolling with laughter

15" screen! Will you be able to see the road! Razz

I looked at doing the same as I can lay my hands on the easily, but decided it was too big, but I'd like to see what you come up with. I too am using MM with 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 - seems quite a few D3 owners have that Whistle

I am running Centrafuse as my interface software and then have a button within that for MM.

I nearly put 15" screens in the back for kids but decided they were too big for that as well. Regarding the mount can't you ask Uncle Ray to sort something out for you?

Just revisiting this. How easy does the top glove box lid come off. Tempted to put a Ram mount ball in there and mount the screen from there.
Is this a viable option rather than using the arm from Ray's ball? I know it will be in the way of the airbag but can I turn that off?
