I'm soo excited!!
I hopefully will get my car back sometime today. If not, I will be putting a post in dealership feedback
It has been away for over 2 weeks now, and there is a tale to tell I will up-date when I finally have the keys.
Fingers crossed.

No car today
Unfortunately no delivery of my car today. Guy Salmon have loaned me a Disco 3 base model though.
Its a manual and boy is it different from my HSE. The seats do take some getting used to don't they!
Apparently my car is 'stuck' in the body shop, because the lift that they use to take cars up to the repair area is broken, and my car is up there Engineer has been called
It will be intersting to see what MPG I can get out of the loaner tomorrow, it goes to Lincoln and back.

Oh, I do wish you wouldn't say things like that. Makes me wonder if I did right ordering an 'S' with leather, rather than splashing out the extra for the SE.

Hi Simkna,
You'll be fine mate! I have an 'S' with leather and while the seats are not as luxurious I certainly don't find them in any way uncomfortable. I have even lived with the sinking height issue and am only having it attended to while my D3 is off the road with another fault.
I'm currently driving a RR Vogue, courtesy of LR Assistance and even that hasn't made me think "God, the seats in my Disco are not as good as these"

I don't want to scare you simkna, they are just very different from the HSE. I initially found it difficult to drive when set to a high position. It got better as I got used to it.
I am not the tallest person on this planet, and do like to be able to see over the dash, so tend to jack the seat up. In the HSE the seat squab can be tilted back to compensate for the raised rear of the squab.

It sounds like we'll be OK then. Both the wife and I are quit tall, and like the seat quite low, so hopefully the seat base angle shouldn't be a problem.

If its still there on Saturday morning - I'll see you down at GS - mine's going in for Attempt 2 on the Engine Management Failure message - I've got a Black TDV6 S lined up as my loaner.Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Oh, I hope your loaner is better than mine! I have done a few miles this evening, and I can't wait to get my HSE back.
Its slow, very very slow, in fact it would not pull the skin of a rice pudding. Compared to my auto it is absolutely gutless. I went to Wilmslow this evening, and it took most of the bypass from Woodford to Handforth Dean to hit 75mph. The average mpg is currently on 18mpg.
I went to put some fuel in it, and could not open the filler flap! had to resort to the manual release in the boot.
The tailgate strut is about to let go! - my heart says tighten it up for them, but my brain says 'no' let them suffer the same fate as me
I cannot drive the thing smoothly, its like a kangaroo! and I keep forgeting to release the park brake, I don't need to remember in my auto
I hope I don't get a puncture, cos the spare is missing.
Pleeease let me have my car back soon

Lincoln and back and I managed 24.9 mpg, is that any good? it did feel very slow, got burned off by a Citroen Berlingo van up the A619 to Chesterfield from M1 J29, that can't be right
Oh yeah! got a park brake fault yellow warning lamp too!
My car is now back on the planet and I pick it up tomorrow morning thank god.
