| iid tool set up - can anyone help |

Hi
My new iid tool has arrived and I just can’t seem to set it up
I have a Microsoft surface and it won’t seem to let me download the app on google play
When I plug it in to laptop i can’t seem to find it on any search
Have tried logging on to my Apple mini and there is no app for it in the App Store even tho I have downloaded it on to my iPhone in anticipation
I have looked at a few You tune videos but still no luck
Will re attempt in a few hours ,, the lads on powefuluk made it look easy
I will try to find some links on here

Try a different usb cable, I have a couple of cables that dont work..

You won't find anything for a Surface on the Google Play store. Nor will the iPhone app work on a Mac Mini.
You update the IID with a Windows app from GAP. To operate it you need either an Android device or an iOS device (either an iPhone or iPad). 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

Hi,
Thank you for reply’s , I reverted to the iid set up page on here and all went well,
I plugged it into the car, then found it on the iPhone app which I downloaded earlier it then went through the start up / find your iid tool and then did all the configuration / Id code set upon the Iphone without having to unplug or anything else , I then found about 70 fault codes which were all able to be cleared and the orange engine light has now disappeared / re set
