Iid tool not initialising! |
|
Morning, tried finding the answer but couldn't
I have had the basic iid tool now for several years, used it many times and has been invaluable
Plugged it in yesterday to read some faults but didn't work other than showing voltage on my dash,
Only thing I have changed since last using was upgrading to D4 wheel which currently cruise does not work on it
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
Thanks Andy

Hi Andy,
I have an original IID Tool and just downloaded and set this up on a new laptop this week.
I logged into My Account on Gap's website and then into Product Activation and Management. Then under My Unit is Downloads. This is the updater tool software. However, after installing the folder on my laptop which has the .exe in also has a Controller.exe as well as a Driver folder.

I did have problems to start with getting the drivers to work.
The IID Tool came up as an unknown in Device Manager, I tried to update driver and point it at the driver folder. I think I tried running the drvsetup.exe as well. 54 D3 TDV6 AUTO HSE - Oct13 > Present
