Hi to all
Is it right that the non BT version has discontinued and is not supported anymore by GAP???
Should I replace it with the BT version?? And if yes, does the replacement worth the ££££££???
I use my non BT version only to Chech/clear faults and clear the service indicator....
Cheers

had a look at the GAP site and didn't spot non-BT not supported ... although it IS discontinued.
they do offer an upgrade for £180 (£130 if your non-BT device is under 6 months old).
why not drop them an email to get the definitive answer ? .

A couple of years ago I asked a them question about a problem I was having using the non-BT IID to upgrade the firmware of the (I think) phone module. They basically told me they wouldn't/couldn't help because the IID was very old.
I solved the issue myself some time later, but GAP won't get any of my money in the future.
EDIT : I took a look back through old emails this evening - the problem I had was being unable to get the little PC control tool to work (required to do phone comms upgrade), and was related to my using Win7 and the later version drivers causing problems.
So in fairness, the problem wasn't one of GAPs creation, and they weren't unhelpful, they simply couldn't help.
That said, I don't want or own an Android or i-Device, or anything newer than Win7 running in a VM though, so I don't see that a newer IID tool features in my future in any case
