IID tool and cheap Chinese clones

Saw https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/cA5xTrYN and was wondering if anyone knew how it compares to the IID or what the heck it is? It looks like a clone of the manufacturer code programmer but not clear what it is capable of without additional firmware updates from JLR and the line about it locking if it is connected to the Internet seems dodgy.

The same with GAP!

As far as I remember, they exploded out of nowhere and everyone bought their products as word got out how user friendly and capable they were.

But at £360 from the UK seller, I'd be spending the extra 50 for an IID.
