IID near Fort William/Lochaber area? Help please.

Anyone with an IID near Fort William who can 'read' my D3 for me?
Had a friend near Inverness but he spends winters in the sun, lucky fella!
Hope everyone staying safe,
Regards
Rob

Thanks Searaider, decent of you to offer but yes, it's a wee bit too far.
May have to go to Lixtull if push comes to shove but they're not cheap and funds aren't exactly flush at the mo.

What needs reading/setting?

I'm in Glenshiel but back and forth to Coventry/London most weeks which takes me through FW.
My IID is at home and I'm down south at the moment but I could swing by on the way up or wait until I'm next heading down.
My IID isn't unlocked so can't do the more advanced stuff on LRs other than my own.
I've had 3 D3s so have a fair bit of experience on fettling them.
Also have a degree in Electronic Engineering but sometimes think a Philosophy degree would be more appropriate for D3 wiring! Wink

Hi highland,
Apologies for not replying straight away and thanks very much for the offer, kind of you.
I've just fitted the new (reclaimed) comp and it all seems good, at the moment!
The amber warnings have gone from the dash but I guess the 'faults' are still in the computer somewhere.
Do you think it's worth 'going in' and clearing the list of codes? I'm almost scared to see what's in there!!
I'm 'between' jobs at the mo but have an interview next weds, pm, but am around the rest of the time, generally.
Should you be able to spare an hour or so enroute south I'd be grateful.
Contact me anytime on.
The D3 is a leap in the dark for me, after a series of 2's and I knew my lack of electrical/electronic knowledge would be a possible problem. I'm not too shabby with a spanner, big hammer and a grinder but multi meters etc have a very limited application to me!
I'm not sure even a degree in philosophy would be enough, more like a high level zen buddhism trained mind!
Thanks again and stay safe in these uncertain times
Regards
Rob

Hi Rob.
So long as the warnings are off and it's running fine I wouldn't be overly concerned with going in to check/clear codes.
If (when..haha) a new fault occurs just about the first thing (after making a note) is to clear out the codes and then see what comes up afresh anyway.

I've taken a note of your number so probably best to delete it. Numbers are best kept to PM in this era of scammers.
