IID mileage recorded different to odometer
I used my IID today to check for any faults and to have a look through the menus as haven't done much exploring with it since I purchased it a few months back (from this forum).
I noticed the mileage on the IID was about 220 miles more than on the odometer. I purchased the car brand new to order with 7 miles on the clock. Is this normal?

Then your motor did drive 220 mls more i presume
dealers and factorys are allowed to turn the odometer back when the car is not registrerd yet to compensate for testdrives, delivery to dealers etc..
i do not know within and what the limits are, but i do know that they can and are allowed to do it... (as said, there are limits)Best regards

Could be down to the conversion used from km to miles.

Thanks all.
Yes , could be. A small difference over thousands of miles could add up. Not sure if I can view the odometer in Km to check both readings tally. Suspect not, does anyone know if that is possible?
Be interested to know if anyone else has experienced this.

you can change displayed units via the "OK" button on the steering wheel.

Thanks for your inspired input.
I changed the odometer to read in Km (it's under the 'Trip' 'units' option when pressing OK). Then I changed the units on the IID to Km. Re-read the total distance travelled which matched exactly. So I can only think that the conversion of Km to mi is out by a small factor and you were exactly right.
Thanks again
