IID can’t locate FBH
I have an IID and I have an FBH but they aren’t speaking, I own the car a year this week and the FBH never worked, I’ve never had any starting issues no matter how cold but I just want to have a working FBH, I tried removing and cleaning the electrical conections to no avail, I contacted GAP and forwarded screenshots from my phone when connected to my IID, GAP said it seemed to be an FBH issue as the IID couldn’t locate the associated ECU. I got another FBH yeasterday, stripped, cleaned and serviced before fitting today and still no sign of it on my IID tool
My IID tool was bought 2nd hand but it is just over a year old, I believe I’m running the last software update (I didn’t update to the latest after seeing posts advising not to due to issues)
Has anyone else seen or heard of the same issue I’m having? Car is 2006 D3. Any help very much appreciated, I’m not computer/gadget fluent but competent mechanically.

There is a facility on Iid to check all modules and a report is given including the firmware of the module, some owners have been known to disable the FBH on the wrong assumption that it saves fuel. Check if all the fuses are present.
I doubt very much that there is a fault with the Iid tool.It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

The MOST referred to for the CD is the fibre optic cable, "I think" its presence depends on the spec of the entertainment system. Although it appears you do have one for the amplifier I see too the msCAN for the heater appears to be missing
There are two fault codes in your BCM, have you looked at these to see what they are?yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

When doing a fault search, which of the above should be selected?

Faults-show all ECU’s- click on auxiliary heater-scanning-no ECU found

OK I'm no wiser as to what's happening there. I think you might need to send that lot off to Pat @ GAP and get his input.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

I was on to them a couple of weeks ago, said check fuses, plugs, wiring etc. Bar re trace every individual wire back through the loom I don’t know what else I can do. I’ll drop them another email, would it be worthwhile updating the IID again? Running BT3.0 B2481 but I was having the same issue when that was the most updated version.
Regarding searching for faults, what option/options should I have ticked in the search function?
