If we see a great deal off the forum how do we tell members? |
|
I have seen a couple of great deals where Disco 3 things are for sale off the forum which I thought would benefit members, in each case I have had the link to the site I posted deleted, is there some other way of informing members of such deals/offers without breaching any forum rules, it seems some people are missing out on these deals and offers, and how do others do this?
Thanks,

By PM only, or keep schtum.
The fleebay rule is a just cause. It stops members who are bidding on something being gazzumped, and also the forum really is STAND ALONE, as a forum community we can get stuff between us without promoting fleebay

Understood, so I guess if we see something that is a great deal it is worth looking through the wanted column to see if it could benefit anyone and then PM them. All the better for morw people to use the wanted column I guess
Thanks

Posting eBay links is really just spamming - eBay have a search system of their own which people can use to find items they want. There's no need to post every D3 eBay item here as well 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!

Macleod 313's sig line link was agreed to be the best way of quickly linking to all D3 things on eBay the last time it was debated on the site. A few people had a similar siglink for a while.... as at the time the site was becoming awash with individual threads linking to individual items that someone just might want . We don't want to go back to those days. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Could always create an Ebay header within the Marketplace forum so making good Ebay deals available to members but always in one place. Sure this has been discussed at length so will say no more.

Apologies, it seems as I am retired and have more time than some, I have got carried away with the ideas and experience learnt from the forum and it has got me motivated looking all around the internet for bits and bobs, and when I see a clear bargain wanted to share to help others, I won't do that in future

Discotres,
Dont feel disheartened,
You sound like you need a pass time to while away the hours, if you are sat at home browsing and happen upon a bargain detachable Tow Bar then by all means PM me, Also require the foamy stappy thing that bolts thro the two holes located under the carpet but above the boot floor that keeps it safe.
I must admit tho, and i am going to have to mention ebay again, and i know WE the sensible ones already know this but !
Items still regulary sell for MORE than they cost new !!!!! and its still happening, you would have thought that folks would have cottoned on to it by now !
For instance, 3rd row rubber mats last week USED sold for more than they cost NEW ! from TLO.
Right, ive said it...........
Please dont ban me for i know not what i do !

As DG stated, the ebay link in my signature strip IS the only agreed way to link to ebay. I think it was SLIMERS idea, to which I use alot too.
