Idle Speed
Does anyone have the idle speed figures for the TDV6? My 0606 SE model seems to be idling at 750 rpm which seems high to me but it seems to be running ok on the road, i.e. not pushing too much on the brakes when being held at the lights for example.
750 sounds right, both of my D3's have been about the sameThe End

Mine's also at around 750rpm.....mine's an auto unlike Slimer's, so it varies slightly depending on if you're in Neutral or Drive (with the brakes applied), but 750 is a good average...

After a few runs through the lake at Tong, my idle has dropped to around 550 - 600.
On the road my engine now 'hunts' as i pull to a stop.
Even stalled a few times -it's an Auto!!!
I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

Sounds like your car has a bit of Tong where it shouldn't!!!

Bet you can´t adjust it anyway, the idle will probably be hardcoded into the engine management, if it can´t achieve it then it´ll just put the fault light on Cheers

mine has taken to hunting and is getting a pain to start also ronp....trip to dealer me thinks............end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......
