So I've been prodding & poking Ice Maiden today whilst changing the front discs as the run out was excessive.
How do you identify that the lower arms are on there way out & is there a particular bush that fails or all of them?
Having prodded, it looked to me as if the big bush that attaches the arm to the back of the chassis leg appeared to have alot of lateral movement when moved with a bar.
I don't have any knocking unless i'm travelling downhill & hit a pothole reasonably hard but as mentioned in previous threads do have an intermittent wheel wobble / shimmy around 55 / 75mph though it does seem to change from day to day.
Thoughts appreciated

if it returns to original position when you stop levering it, it's an MoT pass. doesn't mean it isn't starting to go though. .

Thanks Dean,
They all return, but are best described as sloppy rather than tight

Mine are needing done and there is definite clunking over bumps, speed bumps, drop kerbs etc. When they get worse, you can hear it clunking if you dab the brakes.

Take a good look at the gap between each side of the rear bush and the chassis mounting plates, if the rear plate has rub marks where the bush has been touching then it is on its way out.
Do not forget mot standard is the lowest standard possible.
