I think I lost a digit?

Last night I parked up and had 27.4mpg showing for fuel consumption. Set off this morning and it read 2.4mpg for half a mile Shocked so I hit reset and after the ---.- (bit optomistic having three bars Rolling Eyes ) it started off at 12.9mpg. Anyone had this happen before and is something packing up?

Did somebody borrowed some fuel?
Or did you leave it running for a while?

Fuel gauge read the same and only left it running whilst I put on my seat belt (old turbo saving habit). It read 2.4mpg as soon as the suspension raised from access level Crying or Very sad It now reads 22.1mpg.

Noooo, if SWMBO had evidence it only did 2.4mpg she'd tell me to get rid of Big Cry Sad

Funnily enough mine does that, (the car that is) counts up, used to countdown, bit alarming from cold climbing out of town.

Mine drops a couple of mpg when start off cold, but nothing on that scale. Was reading 32.5 at end of last drive, will be very upset if it goes sub 30!!

Mines has always dropped a small amount from cold but its scary when it drops 25mpg Shocked Been driving it most the day and all seems fine now so I'll check again in the morning.

Was it parked on a hill?

If I leave mine running on the drive for a few minutes the "Range" always increases dramatically because it is parked nose up I assume the fuel sloshes to the rear of the tank where the sender must be. Never looked at the MPG figure though.

Not supposed to affect the sender as there's two one at the front and one at the back, they average out.

I think someone programmed the computer thing to take the Censored every now and then.
The best thing they could do on the D4 is remove that bloody MPG display
