How do I remove the sidevent without breaking it?

How do I remove the sidevent without breaking the clip holding it?

Any suggestions?

Very carefully pull it out there are some bits that holed it in at the top and bottom you could use a thin knife prise them out but the vent only cost a few quid any way.

I want to removed it without breaking it because it is a blackpainted one and it cost a few quid more. I want to insert now a chromed one. I tried already witha plastic type credit card. Didnt work
.

I used a spatula pushed in gently under the bottom edge - towards one corner then the other and slowly worked it out

I take mine out often for the snorkel.
Put your fingers in the centre and lift up, then pull the bottom out first.
You get more purchase on it if you have your back to the D3.
Comes out easily. Very Happy
