Yesterday, slip road from M6 to M62, accelerate into lane three, foot hard down , noticed a message in the message centre "Low Coolant"
No Bongs or anything else, and it went away after a few seconds.
No recurrence since, coolant is topped up ok. Should'nt it Bong with this error though?
I know plenty of others have had this, and I know its not the end of the world and a new coolant bottle will cure it at the next service, but I should have had a bong should I not?
I am surprised my original coolant bottle has lasted so long. 45k miles now.

I had this happening not too long ago... right after the 22.5 service. The DIC would say "Low Coolant" when I turned the key on for the boot-up process. After that it wouldn't show back up. It didn't Bong for that either. The coolant level was OK.
Turned out to be a faulty sensor. Changed under warranty. Hasn't come back since.

Having just taken a TDV6 SE for a tow test with my caravan, called into the dealer to view some colour options. No haven't decided to buy yet - but interested in understanding what the various colour options look like.
Anyway, got to discussing some options like side steps and the salesman invited us (wife and I) over to a brand new HSE fitted with them. As he started the car to raise the suspension I noticed the low coolant level warning - but there was no bong and the warning went away after a couple of seconds.
On a NEW car??!! Hmmm.

I had the "low coolant level" message.
No bongs. Complete expansion tank and sensor was replaced under warranty.
Seems to be a common fault.

Check if your coolant expansion tank has a red float - tanks susceptible to faults do not 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
