How do I get the grill off + newbie questions ?
newbie question,
On the D3 there were 2 clips on the side, I dont see these on the D4, Ive undone the top clips, but cant get the grill off, any tips or do just use brute force ?
Instruction book is in German so about as usefull as a #$%& &/("

I must admit I have not had the grill of my D4 yet, but it looks pretty similar to the D3.
What I do know is that there is no dipstick on a D4 - you can only view the oil level through the info display.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Lift bonnet and there are four clips along the inside top edge and the the bottom just pulls out.2009 Discovery 3 HSE - Gone

Yes- no dipstick. I think remembering vaguely from reading the manual in my first D4, before it gives a reading of the oil which is accessed through the message centre menu between the rev counter and speedometer. It has to have had engine off parked on flat level ground for 10 mins before giving a reading.
My new MY 13 3.0 GS seems to be drinking oil at a very quick rate... Something I will watch closely over the next few months/thousands of miles 2023 Ineos Grenadier 3.0 Diesel Commercial
