| Have I bought the wrong D4 door handles? |
|
I thought I'd just swap my door handles to Santorni black, but think I may bought the wrong handles. These have the whole assembly. Do I just need the actual outside skins?

No reason you couldn't just replace the whole handle. You could swap them out in under 5 mins. 16 D4 Landmark

Wouldn't I have to remove the internal door covers to access the latch assembly? Removing the mechanical bits/connections of the installed handle would be tricky for a DIY?

No the handles can be replaced without taking the intenal door cards off. The smaller stationary piece that's affixed to the door often breaks when removed, so if you go ahead make sure to carefully pry that piece off. It's merely snapped in, if you look at the replacement piece you should be able to see how it's secured. 16 D4 Landmark

I got them all off. The smaller pieces all broke the latches, but as you say it doesn't matter. Looks way nicer withe the black on black.
