should i do bas remap
So,
i have had the 105k service done now at 108k,
So do i get the bas remap done.and if so how do i go about it,
I have a BT system to fit and i also want to retro fit front PDC,I may also in the future(if i can get my finger out)want to add tv/RSE
Dont know what the cost of the MSV is compared to the stand alone BAS unit, and if i get the MSV,what is the additional cost of maps?
Your help/opinions/thoughts in this will be considered.

Phone/email Pete @ Bell Autos, talk it through, pay your money, wait for the nice little box to arrive, follow the instructions..........then drive it like you stole it Jim

It's no a question of whether to remap or not, it's which remap to choose!
If I'd known of your interest I could have demonstrated at Torphichen - maybe you noticed the power as it wascoming through the muddy hole in the corner?A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

The other consideration is,at 108k is it safe.
i know a lot of people on here reckon it will be fine but what do you all think?

Personally, I'd be inclined to get the mtrs first and then the power at a later date Bodsys Brake Bible

I'm sure Pete will be along, but I think I read that his £499 offer would end at the of this month.
I too am trying to pluck up the courage. But at 97k miles, I'm worrying about the size of the 105k service bill...!

just had mine done for £657 at parks in Ayr.£10 cheaper than i was quoted and they also done some diagnostic work on the EPB,recalibrated the x-y sensor and done a reflash.
they did however order 2 front cambelts so had a nice 59 plate HSE all weekend.
search around for best price.
Bodsy,think your right mate.
if i get the MTR's i can get back off-road,if i get the remap i will have more power but no off-road capability to enjoy the extra power.

Damn, was going to get BAS early part of next year. Hopefully there will be another deal going on then!
What is the MSV2 - is it a more in-depth fault code reader?

The MSV-2 is a diagnostic(and so much more)tool developed by Black Box solutions,i believe that BBS and BAS colaborated and you can now run a BAS remap from the MSV-2,
The MSV-2 will allow you to enable-disable retro fitted parts on the D3(and other landRover models).
I had d£ member Wiggs enable my 4x4 info and off-road satnav.
I was considering Going down this path as i will be modding/adding components at a later date and as wiggs is such a busy man i thought about getting my own,but at the moment i dont think its a viable solution for me(purley financial).

The MSV-2 Extreme SV Kit for Disco 3, SV222, has a retail of 701.22 GBP
As an established forum member, you would get a 10% discount on that = 631.10 GBP
There is VAT, but only at 15% and of course a bit of shipping.
The BAS / MSV-2 Remap for TDV6 (CM001) is 321.90 GBP plus VAT @15%.
There is no discount on that.
Besides the additional ability to do whatever system modifications you wish, adding value to your D3. it is of course also a great benefit to have your own diagnostic system, which can save a lot of money. The MSV-2 system also always has a good resale value.
No matter what, i would definately get the BAS remap, it takes a lot to impress me, but it certainly impressed the bejesus out of me.

Thanks for the reply Colin,
you were next on the PM list.
I agree with you that the MSV-2 is the way to go but at the mo its a bit of a stretch,
maybe Santa will be good to me this year
only 15 weeks and 4 days to go!!!
Not counting at all.
