Hybrid TV Tuning / Set up?

Following on from the D4 thread, I thought I would start a new thread before it went off topic.

I have the Hybrid in my HSE but I can only get 4 or 5 channels: The sound is 100% but the picture reminds me of when we had a coat hanger on the old tele at me nans!. Its very snowy.

Now, I thought this was analogue, but on the other thread DG said it was digital. Now if true, do we need to retune this after Wednedays changeover?.

Any setup help gladly accepted! Thumbs Up

I'm sure I never implied it was only digital...afterall that's why it's called "hybrid" no?

Anyway check the basics settings like country and PAL ....the PAL codes like B\G, B\H etc have an effect...try each of them as they can be different around the country Thumbs Up

if its snowy you are either watching a program about the north pole or you are on analogue. If it were digital you would get more channels and it would have digital drop out from a poor signal.

Reckon you are on analogue

From memory of ffrr you have to select as some places/countries didn't have digital. You must have to select it somewhere.

Its set to 'UK' & 'Pal I' in the settings menu..... but only 3 channels and they are snowy, and not listed as station. One is tuned to BBC1 and says VH1 on the button! Shocked

No sign of Dave Big Cry

Try the double PAL variations B\G B\H etc...after you select go back to the main screen and select auto

Tried all just now. PAL I is the best for picture and signal. The others give good picture and no sound, or sound and no picture, plus a multitude of snowiness!.

I pressed Auto and let it do its thing. I think I got all BBC1&2 + ITV and CH4 - all listed under number, eg 23, 46 etc etc. The sound is spot on, but picture still grainy - Am I hoping for too much?

Can these be stored or do you need to 'Auto' everytime?

You are either in a poor digital signal area or your digibox is knackered Wink
