HSE Sat nav screen brightness |
|
On the sat nav settings screen, mine has a setting for BRIGHTNESS. I am sure that this was not there last week!
I had the TSB done on the audio system last week, and this may be one of the updates.
Can someone with an 04/ early 05 D3 check if this is the case? I am sure it said CONTRAST before.
The settings screen I mean is obtained by pressing the right hand hard key, go to SETTINGS, then SCREEN settings.
Yes it does dim the screen!

I`LL have a check on that later too!!
Have you tried changing the background colour from grey, to beige.
I have beige leather and want the 4x4 screen backdrop to stay beige once i set it. Once the car has been left for a while it goes back to grey.
Back into settings again...................................
Is there a fix?

my Sept06 build came with the brightness setting, so I guess this is the standard now? All that's needed really I would think is a screen on/off button for when it's dark and youre not really that interested in directions? and theeeeennn......???

It would be great to have a "Navigation Screen OFF" voice command

Hi Gareth, Sept 2004. When I looked to adjust brightness before I have only been able to do via contrast control, but pretty sure srceen dims a little with instrument dimmer control or am I imagining that!, will have to check again. You are correct, but the brightness setting on the sat nav screen seems to adjust the basic level from which the instrument brightness control works from.
