Might be looking to swap out the current d4 before the new year
Is there a big difference in spec between 2015/6 HSE Lux and Landmark??????

Basically the same vehicle. Landmark had a more restricted range of colours to choose from and was slightly a slightly better spec but it did depend a bit on what was left in the bin when it was built.

I’d agree there’s very little in it and the restricted range of colours in probably the biggest issue that some people may have. However, the HSE Lux does have a few additional bits, like piano black inside, posher diamond cut alloy wheels and a slightly nicer leather on the steering wheel. Some of the Landmarks that you’ll find may have a downgraded stereo (if you’re interested, there is a simple way of telling which it is).
If none of the above bothers you, then either one’s a great choice 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4

Thanks for the replies
I was coming to the conclusion there was little difference.
I'm moving to a new job in January and they have quite restricting CO2 limits on their cars.
If you already have a car however, they won't make you change it - so need to change soon !! 2000 D2 TD5 - big red tractor no longer with us

Looked at both and ended up with a Lux, better finished imo with more kit and a better choice of colours.

Lux has the better spec when compared, not the other way round.
If you want the separate rear air con system then you need to look at a 2015 latest as they had to discontinue it for the adblue system to fit in MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

I've bought two 2016 Landmarks. 20" alloys are standard, the first one came with style 511 rims, whilst the second on had the polished black/chrome ones. So I guess the factory just fitted what was to hand!
All the Landmarks were advertised as having the top spec. Meridian system, which was the case on my two. Although some might have been sneaked through with the lower spec. system. Both of mine had piano black trim, but I don't know if that was standard or not, as I didn't spec. either.
As already stated, the HSE Luxury was available with a wide choice of colours and interior finishes, plus you could order from all the extra options that was available at the time i.e surround cameras, rear aircon (not on EU6 models) etc. With regard to the later, if I was buying a late model D4, I'd only go for one with EU6 (Adblue) due to the backlash against diesel and inner city emission charging etc..
Aside from the above, the LUX has a perforated leather steering wheel, whilst the Landmark has a plain smooth leather, both are heated. I think in standard form, that's really the only difference (aside from colour and interior finishes). Some Landmarks did have fridges, but I think all LUX's had fridges (?).
I'd be looking at both and hopefully you'll find one that suits your taste.
PS Red Merle's green LUX (EU6)is for sale via an old friend of mine in Bristol. PM me if you're interested. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Perhaps the fridge wasn't standard spec. on the LUX then. It wasn't on the Landmark, although some were definitely ordered with them.
I prefer the smooth wheel, it's easier to clean. The perforated one was standard spec. on the LUX, but I expect you could change it to a smooth one as a no cost option. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Thanks for the replies.
I find it quite amazing that in the days of computerised and automated assembly lines that some vehicles get one radio the next one gets another etc etc......but this is Landrover I suppose
As I am buying, what's the new phrase for second hand....oh, 'pre owned' then the colour is just whatever comes along.
And I found the fridge in the d3 to be more of a slightly-cooler-than-the-rest-of-the-car box, than a refrigeration unit......so not an issue either.
Whatever comes along it is - 15/16, low-ish miles.....and no wood inside!!! 2000 D2 TD5 - big red tractor no longer with us
