I would guess the 'Special Vehicles' decal is a poser sticker from ebay and doesn't actually mean anything. Unless anyone out there knows different.......
Nice vehicle
Personally, I would remove the SV badge as they are quite collectable. If you don't you may find some does it for you with little care for your bodywork.Discovery 4 HSE - Aintree Green

Yes, center console fridge, is that an indicator of HSE?
For the MY06 HSE, a fridge was standard specification. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

The spec does vary on older D3, mine for example was returned to the dealer just after purchase(2004) because the adaptive lights where not working, only to be told they are not fitted.
SIL bought his one month later with them fitted, mine didn't have rear air con his did. Both new HSE spec.It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

i recon you have a HSE speced commerical there that someone has fitted the rear seats back in, the way too tell would be on the V5 its taxation class will be PLG ( private light goods) not deisel car
from the pictures it is speced exactly like a HSE but i also cnnot see if there is a TV for the rear seats as in most HSE's. if there isnt a TV for the rear seat i think im right in saying its a HSE speced commercialDiscovery 3 - Black SE with HSE upgrade

No HSE's have a TV in the rear seats as standard, however I believe the HSE Lux does. 1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold

Well guys, thanks for all the input, no real consensus but I am gonna conclude it's an HSE and buy some badges for the rear (any tips for good suppliers?)
scubble - thanks for that suggestion, I looked at the V5 and it's a diesel car, not commercial.
No rear TV's which I would love, or at least the kids would.

The rear entertainment system was an option and for that year consisted of a single roof mounted foldable screen. Very clunky nowadays and when in use blocked the rear view mirror.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
