HPFP
Having recently removed the body of my discovery and completed a mini restoration on chassis suspension brakes gearbox etc.
I replaced glow plugs and rear belt on engine I have lowered body and started to connect up. I have attempted to start engine before i complete reassembly. However on attempting to start I am not getting any fuel to the rail. I have good pressure to the HPFP on the low side. Is there anyway to check the HPFP i have got a live reading on a diagnostic and it is showing 400kpa with little fluctuation.
Thanks in advance

Its controlled by main ECU, check your connections there make sure they are on fully. Is the fuel pressure sensor switch on the rail connected up fully.

Yep sensor is connected up ok no other faults other than low fuel pressure. Does the ecu tell the pump to send HP fuel to the rails or should it hp as soon as the engine is turning over?

It does take some time to get these engines going.
I would spray easy start or similar into the air intake Y and see if that helps
