Hot Foot

Any one suffering from a hot right foot?

Last winter I had this problem my dealer fixed it some how but alas its appeared again. I presume that what ever they did has been over ridden by the latest upgrade. (its going back)

Problem:-
When the temp gets below 8 the heater blows hot air on to my right foot, all the other air ducts/vents are venting cold or coldish air, result is sever athletes foot on my right foot and frost bite on my fingers. To overcome this I have to set the heater to manual which stops the hot air going down but does not send the hot air up in fact I can not get anything but luke warm air on to the windscreen. Then it gets cold in the car so its back to a hot foot for a while. So much for being an automatic heating system.
In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Yes!
Ive just spent 230 miles in mine today with the temp set at 25, cold air still blowing upwards, hot feet & frozen hands..... I was going to ask the dealer to check it tomorrow when it goes in for yet another look at its suspension (but thats another story).

I appear to be suffering from this too, it's going in the dealers today anyway so I'll get them to take a look

Mine delivered Dec '04 too.

I get cold air still from face and side vents but hot air to feet. Causes windows to mist.

Not as bad as it used to be when you would hardly ever get constant hot air. Warms up great then starts to blow cool air. Not noticed until the cold weather.

There was a s/w upgrade to fix this but it obviously deletes itself when the temperature drops below freezing Wink

I think its the mix of warm and cold air we are getting... in warmer times - a few weeks ago - this never happened.

With the aircon on all the time the air should be dry enough to stop this.

Front sides... middle and back clears when car starts moving after you've had passengers sitting in it for a while.

Whilst driving its just the front sides only. A quick press of the Prog button or sending the air direction upwards only... clears them for a while.

Only happens in the cold weather we've been having.

HI
Well my rejected Dec 04 and replacement May 05 vehicles both suffered from a poor heater. Set to 25degC and you still get cold air.
In fact the dealer has done some measurements and found that the air temp is actually 3-4 degrees lower than the setting.

I think this is actually more of a fundamental and annoying fault that the long running pre-heater (which thankfully works using the radio trick) on my car.

If anyone gets this silly (and absolutly avoidable) fault fixed, please pass on the news so we can all get our vehicles warm during these cold days...

Yep I have this problem too, soon as you cancel prog windows start misting up & after running vehicle from cold for about 10 miles I start getting cool air through vents which is uncomfortable & that's on maual setting!. guess the temp sensors & air mix are not right. Personaly think there is not enough natural airflow through car, you certainly here the fan speed pick when you drop window a little.
