Easy to check if there is 12V at the horns direct.

If it is intermittent then it sounds like an earth or connector issue.

Checked. it works with 12v directly connected. And checked the fuses too.
Seems to be something be between the button and the horn..

Is there a relay for the horns?- if so swap it for a known good one.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Could just be that the buttons (strips) have got mucked-up. Remove them and check everything is okay mechanically and go from there.

Might also be worth checking the horns are actually working, bypassing them onto a battery. A horn on my D4 failed.
