when i had the towbar fitted to the rangie, the dealer had to chip the car to stop it going to the lower suspension setting on the motorway. It also disabled the rear parking sensors.
Does the disco have this facility that it drops down on the motorway?
If so I assume the dealer will also chip the disco to stop it dropping.
keep us posted...seems like a great solution....if it works as promised I might go for it!2007 HSE Java Black.....sold

T7mbo, if you ever go fast enough for the car to lower while towing I hope I'm nowhere near. The D3 hunkers down once you are doing approximately 100mph.
When a towbar is fitted the car does have a system updated made to the suspension to prevent the car raising while towing, which would be equally nasty!I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

thats interesting, because the rangie drops to the lower suspension setting if you drive at 50mph for more than a minute.
My neighbour mentioned this to me, as he traded a FFRR for a D3. It drops at around 103 and stays there down to mid 80s before popping back up again.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

My wifes just phoned because she has taken the log book for the rangie to the dealer so he can do the plate transfer.
The disco arrived this morning and shes not best plased because apparently it has the darker rear windows--she reckons it will make her look like a drug dealer!
Drug Dealer? You need to have a bull mastiff on the front passenger seat for that.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Depends on what you have in the barrel I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

No contest - Disco is much better!
Hi there
Yes, you have definately done the right thing - changed my RR for a D3 a month ago - its great to drive and incredibly practical, its much quieter and packs a puch when you need speed.
I have had no regrets whatsover, go for it!

T7mbo, absolutely the right move!!!
I've got a Bonatti Grey (slightly darker than Stornaway) HSE with darkened glass & nobody has stopped to buy some stuff from me yet!!! Priv glass is great as the dogs can watch out & no one sees them unless they put their face to the glass. Then the barking starts.
