Is it possible to switch the regular rearview mirror for the auto-dimming mirror with homelink transmitter that comes with the lighting package?
Not sure if the power cables are standard across all models.

Thanks. Does it get power from a wiring harness or through the mount on the windshield? Do you know if they are there on all models?

It gets the power from the wiring harness .... I was just going to tap into the power in front of the light's If you do a search you will see others have done this also  2006 SE V6 / 2002 MB G-500

Just to confirm. You can plug the Homelink mirror into the wires that are connected to my current powered dimming mirror? I have an HSE so I'm assuming that the wires will be there.......is it just plug and play?
I'll buy it from you for $55, but OCPaul brought up the subject and i don't want to cut in front of him if he wants it.
