Homelink mirror
Can anyone confirm which MY / spec includes interior mirror with the Homelink transmitter option.
possibly from a Jaguar also ??
To fit 16MY Graphite, straight swap over, plug and play ?
Trying to get one from scrappies etc,
as they seem like rocking horse droppings, and silly money from LR !!
Plenty on ebay from USA, but I presume I need Europe spec.?

Could you not do something different with IFTTT and your location? Or even just mount a receiver button? Unsure what you're using it for mind you I just automatically thought garage door!

Got one through this forum a few years back. A pain to set up (repeated attempts) but works both my Liftmaster gate and Hormann garages openers.
There are a number of Android apps. which will do this.
FREE and Much more reliable than the JLR Homelink IMHO.
I don't use this myself, but my daughter & brother do, and have no complaints.

Thanks seer, nice to know it works with Horrman. I just want to do away with another loose fob !!
what with LR fob, FBH fob, and Horrman fob, there are too many loose bits around for swmbo to break.
NJSS, thanks for the info but surely by the time you find, and open the 'phone, select the app then use it,
it would be a lot quicker and simpler to use the fob I already have, one press !!

You can get a Horman fob which fits in cig lighter socket.

No worries. It basically means If This Then That. For example if we had an electric gate we could say "If Simon's iPhone is within 5m Of Gate Then Open Gate" sort of thing? My BMW had BMW Connected so could be "If BMW is Close To House Open Garage". There are millions of uses and services it works with!
We have for example an outside rain sensor. If it's raining then shut all windows etc! So depends how in depth you want to go and how automated you want to go JUst a suggestion anymeans!

seer, Thanks for the speedy reply, sounds a bit technical ! ok with grease and fuel, but vehicle electrickery is a bit of a dark art.
You can control your garage door from services like If This Then That (IFTTT). For example, you can combine the Alexa and Webhooks IFTTT services to open your garage door when you say a trigger phrase to an Amazon Echo, and when the car is n meters away from the gate.
You can add scripts like if it is dark when the car approaches turn on the outside lights, or turn the heating up 3 degrees when I'm 15 minutes from home and the ambient temperature is less than n degrees .

I fitted a 2016 homelink mirror to my 2012 sport and it was straight swop. 5 minutes and it was done. The UK ones are on a different frequency to the US so they aren’t much good.012MY RRS 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography (Current)

I retro fitted one to my my16 d4.
Haven’t gone with it on current car as whilst my older hormann garage doors worked my Nice gate opener wouldn’t as it has encrypted rolling codes. Research if your system is compatible on the home link website.MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

You could wire one of these into your gate opener and then all you do is call your gates as you get near.
I have their intercom system, I just programmed the number into my phone and use siri to call the gates as I get close.David

Can anyone answer the original post please ?? i.e. which models / years Landrover / Jag , were fitted with Homelink ?
I DO NOT want to use mobile phone / laptop / crystal ball, just looking at fitting a Homelink mirror, as per the original query.

To be honest, if you want to fit one you need a Disco 4 homelink mirror. Any other model won’t work. Or should I say it will, but if you have any kit that uses the sensor such as Full beam assist, that won’t work.012MY RRS 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography (Current)
