Hobby or Lunar Delta?
Hobby 570 VIP or Lunar Delta 610, which would you choose for same money.
Both 4 berth, Hobby is single Axle but seems to be newer and nicer inside.
I know NOTHING about caravans but some of these look great value at circa £3k

hi
the only issue I would say to either is some sites are very funny about either brand as they are very popular with the travelling fraternity as a mate of mine had a hobby and had real issues booking sites in cornwall and the like but both really nice vans.

When I was looking for a caravan a few years back, I seem to remember there were issues with insurance because of the width of some of the Hobby models

This is a 570 VIP... doens't seem to be much wider than other caravans.
Any advantage of twin versus single axle?
Think some googling is required....

I could be wrong, but one or two of the reasons they appear cheap has maybe already been mentioned above. Both are very well made caravans and I even almost bought a Hobby once myself, but unfortunately sadly they do have something of a stigma attached for the said reasons especially the Hobby. Personally I still do like Hobby Caravans which are very popular in Germany & NL.On a mission to find the perfect Pork Pie. Just Found it (I think)..(Yes I have)

I own a Hobby caravan (560) and personally have not had any funny looks or words, apart from "it's big"... which is true.
Hobby delivers a lot for not so much money, but the build quality is not near that of Fendt for example. But Fendt are twice the price.
Hobby is also quite lightweight, my D3 can legally tow two of them weightwise .

I towed my bosses 'gypsy castle' about 25 miles last night around rural yorkshire and the disco didn't really notice it was there, apart from the mpg going down to 18 It was up 4 pretty steep long hills which didn't help. When he turned up with it he said he took advise from the people who live in them and they seem happy with the Hobby! I aren't sure of model numbers but it is huge, 5 birth about 30' long and even with extra wide mirrors on I couldn't see a thing behind me!26 and on the 4th LR..

Single tends to be lighter, easier to manoeuvre and won't churn up grass pitches so much. Twin will tow better at speed and handle more weight.

Corrected for you in the name of humour
Actually, I own a caravan and rarely have I have hardly ever been held up by anyone towing a caravan, its usually some doddery old git driving a Hyundai Getz, sitting very close to the steering wheel and wearing a hat. It's a myth Welcome "Lola"
