High Beam Assist retrofit |
|
OK, so i have a discovery 4 2012 model and I have attempted to retrofit the HBA functionality. yes i know many people dont like it but I wanted to try it.
Anyway, I have swapped out the mirror for one I got off Ebay, its meant to fit the discovery 4 and i have enabled the options in the CCF.
The car shows the option in setup and I have enabled it. now here is the issues.
1. when the car is first started in the dark, the green Auto light shows up. then it goes off.
2. lights do not dip or go high beam automatically.
3. no error codes found
I just dont know why it does not work, can anyone advise? Mirror i got has the engineering code AH42-17E678-AB so maybe I got the wrong one? it was listed as from a discovery 4
Kind Regards,
Mat

I don't have it but do you not need to flick the stalk forward to activate it, leaving it in the 'high beam' position.
Forgive me if you have already tried that

I did wonder that, but i don't think that's needed and the owners manual did not seem to indicate that was the case. I did try it with no luck.
Odd thing is the auto HBA light comes on for a bit then goes off. no codes in the BCM.
