High beam Assist-- Hardware or Software? |
|
Is the high beam assist anything more than a software switch? Or is there additional hardware to be installed?
I was wondering this driving home the other night whilst it was raining, is it the same sensor for both?
Cheers
Ken

Don't waste your time. It works about 80% of the time. If you use it, you will end up hovering over the headlamp stalk to drop the beam every time you see a car coming as you know that it may not work until its too late.
It works well on straights. On hills and in particular shallow bends, it is very poor and the car coming can be in view far too long before it drops the beam.
