I'm looking at this thread because this mod looks very interesting.
Someone know where I could get the brightness sensor?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, try any electronics shop in your area.

You need to get a 20-50KΩ photoresistive sensor and
an appropriate resistor (see page 23 of this thread for more info)

Reversing camera on sat nav screen

wiggs wrote:
the biggest issue is the brightness ....once it thinks the car is a range rover it stops using the inbuilt light sensor . The screen is then quite dark

nav ....works fine
phone ...shows names etc on touch screen
radio ...works fine and shows radio stations on nav screen
cd ...will play ...will not select the 6 disks as the RR had a seperate cd player
4x4 ...works .,..and shows a large terrain respone knob on the touch screen..
aux ...can be selected from the touch screen
trip computer ...lap timer works ...fuel economy does not

if you enable the reversing camera ...then it will work automatically when in RR mode

I had a seperate dimmer made which plugged into the main board on the nav screen ...cured the dimming issue

After switching on the monitor menu RR and the inclusion of a CD with the touch screen, there is no way to adjust the volume. How to solve this problem?

not yet.
The head unit search to command an external CD unit that not found. Crying or Very sad

You need to stop the ignition and restart it

Hi tried to activate the camera today with iidtool.
I changed the ccf for camera then cut the wire.
Am I correct in what I've read that I need to cut the wire first then change the ccf in RR mode?
Thanks

It should not matter which one you do first. As far as the touchscreen is in RR mode and the rear camera enabled in the CCF the picture should appear on the screen once a camera is connected.

If the screen doesn't change automatically when you go in reverse, probally you need to update your screen firmware.
Whinch model year is your car?

Hello!

I'm from Germany and i have the same problem. I read all 30 pages of this thread, but i can't find the answer of my questions, how i could upgrade the firmware - what i think, that is the problem. My LR3 (US spec) is build 2005 and i have enabled the FFRR funktions and everything works fine. I fixed the brightness fault with the diode and it works. Only the camera will not switch automatically.
Since a test with the 753-menue i had the problem, that this does not work, i cannot see this menue (witch i had seen a long time ago by a first test). I think it all depends on the firmware, witch i will update.

Can someone explain me, how to upgrade the firmware with a IID-Tool?

Sorry for my bad english, i hope everybody can understand. Bow down

Thanks from Germany!
Buh

Rear camera not working

Hi Wiggs

I have done all this and installed a rear view camera but it will not move to the screen automatically when you select reverse. If I go into diagnostics mode and select the camera to see if it is working it then shows the display when you put it in the reverse.
I am absolutely lost on what to do next.
Do you have any ideas please

Done the mod today including the brightness fix thanks to Panoramix for the mod Thumbs Up also fitted reverse camera £12 from Amazon, enabled in ccf auto on when selecting reverse.

All working apart from contacts on nav screen, they download and visible on radio screen but not on nav screen.
