Hidden crud behind front wheel arch alert!
I recently removed my wheel arch and inner arches to get to the passenger side sunroof drain valve and was surprised by just how much debris was inside the back of the wheel arch!!
Both front wheels had the same amount of debris including leaves, sand and mud. Presumably this would cause rot at some point in the bodywork so better to get it out from time to time 8)
I've put inspecting these on this weekends to do list. Should do a few more mpg without that lot onboard. :thumbsup:Chris

Thanks for this, I took the front bumper off due to a faulty park sensor so ckecked this.
Loads of dirt but due to LR using mild steel screws on the mud flaps they are impossible to remove so I had to use an air jet to blow it out, straight up into my face!!Series 1 V8

I keep spare clips ready to use. They come in two parts, attach each part of clip to each of parts being joined, then press together.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

I've been under the car to remove the suspension compressor and didn't like what I saw, mainly heavy surface rust. Anyway today I decided to remove the side step and sill trim from the n/s. As you can see there was plenty of crud and a couple of scabby rust patches on the sill.
