So new to D4 Ownership and noticing on mine that it throws quite a lot of light over to the left into the hedgerows , they do the whole self adjust thing when i start the car but thought it was odd for so much light to go over to the left.
Is this intended? Couldn't manage a decent picture tonight
It has adaptive xenons, but i find a lot of light thrown into smaller cars when going past on the motorway, doesn't seem right to me but have nothing to compare it to!
This is following the replacement of the Passenger Xenon Bulb a few days ago as it had died on me , it was replaced by landrover but i don't think they checked anything like alignment, though wouldn't have thought you'd need to.

Not sure about your lamps, but on mine there are adjuster screws for both vertical and horizontal.
I had to do mine after fitting

If it was replaced by LR I would take it back and get them to look at it.

I spoke to the local dealer as the one i bought it from is almost 3 hours away, they're happy to sort it out under warranty but as the bulb was replaced roadside by LR assist, they're coming out first to see if it's a faulty unit or if it was badly aligned when fitted. Not sure how much they can do without the proper garage equipment for aligning lights but we'll see. Do they still aim it into those boxes like they use for MOT tests?

The adaptive Xenons also have cornering lights so that when turning left will switch on and throw more light that side, also vice versa for right.
Adjustment can be made as normal, but what can also be checked is the motors in the headlamps that automatically carry out adjustment, which if not working correctly, will record a fault code.
The beam thrown out is much flatter than standard lights and causes much less dazzle effect. Have driven in France with no adjustments or adaptors on headlights and never had problem or people flashing me D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

The passenger side cornering lamp doesn't illuminate either, drivers side does. Oh well, Landrover out again tomorrow to take a look as the 3 nearest LR Dealers have a month lead time on service bookings
Why did i buy one of these again... For reliability right?

Just an update to say that LR Assist came out again and said it was burning out the new bulb they had put in, recovered into nearest garage same-day , hire car sorted out for the next 7 days whilst they figured out what the problem was (Brand New Disco 5 HSE with only 1000 miles on the clock) , decided the control unit in the headlight was faulty so replaced the entire headlight!
All under warranty and the only cost to me was a tank of fuel when returning the hire car.
Can't say fairer than that can you, some positive customer service right there, wouldn't have gotten that from ford!
The garage also found "play" in the lower bushes which i know is a common Disco 4 issue , The Dealer i bought it from "may" be fixing that as goodwill as existing issue when i bought the car, and had i known at the time, would not have purchased.
All in, a positive experience so far despite the faults!
