HEVAC panel removal ???

My quick defrost button has stuck in! So the car is constantly on max defrost whenever I switch on. I can turn the fans down, and cancel the heated screens, but have lost the ‘Auto’ function on the system.

Either got a piece of Censored jamming it or it’s broke.

I’ll put up a wanted post for a replacement panel, but will need to know how it comes apart.

It was easy to get off the D3, as the surrounding trim pieces were easy to get off. On the D3 I never had enough Wheetabix to summon the strength to get those off on the D4 though.

I know, that’s not a lot of help! Laughing Laughing

PS I have a HVAC panel in the man shed/junk room but it’s for a D3. Even less help. Whistle

It all looks a bit more complex on the 4.

The two side panels come off easily enough once you are brave enough to keep tugging, start at the bottom. Screws securing the climate control panel are concealed behind that from memory

Sure does! Mine might be repairable. Something is stopping the button springing back. I’ll take it apart and have a look.
