Hi did a nurse change over, one in one out yesterday but they are ok today.

4.5 hour round trip for what would normally be 30mins

Ending up coming back well away from the main roads and ended up much quicker. Was going to go back to take midwives in but the hospital had stood them down by the time I got back

Also joined a 4x4 response group now Thumbs Up

Good on thoughts helping out Bow down I have found it’s not well advertised so if people want to help just phone your nearest hospital and ask to speak with the DUTY MANAGER give them your details and wait for a call

I've ran two of the local GP's into their surgery this week as they both have BMW's Rolling Eyes but one of them is my niece Laughing

I'm with 4x4 response Wales and we helped child safety and mental health emergency departments last year, no sign of snow for us yet though.

As an NHS employee, I cant volunteer, they have to pay me, its why a lot of volunteer groups at hospitals are usually run by third party organisations. If I do get asked to help out I normally take time in lieu, have to have business cover on the Discovery too.

I had two of my guys helping out last year. As part of our procedure when fitting recon engines is to test drive the cars for 200 miles to bed in, it made sense to use these miles for something useful.

No doubt if we get the same situation this year, we're be doing it again.
