Help - Suspension fault while on vacation in Sardinia

Hello

I‘m on holiday in Sardinia and my D3 got suspension fault.
It worked fine until I hit the frame offroad just behind the front right wheel - without any visible damage (totally driver fault Rolling Eyes ).
Now I constantly get „C1A13-64 (AF)“ shortly after ignition.
IIDtool says ‚Pressure does not decrease when venting gallery‘.
I used to get that fault every few months but not anymore since I switch out the Hitachi for a genuine AMK 3 weeks ago. I also change all control arms, stabilizer bushes, drop links and panhard rods in the rear at the same time.

I tried to reset the car, reflashed AMK to ECU to be able to drive for a bit without getting red suspension light to tell me to slow down to 30 mph. And I‘m stuck at normal height with +35mm height setting (IIDtool) because I cannot access offroad height.
I inspected the compressor. The black S-airline in the front that connects the valve block is a little bit loose at both ends but the soap test doesn‘t show any bubbles.

I noticed, that the orange suspension light always goes on at the same time as the exhaust valve tries to open (100% on iidtool). But the compressor is brand new, so I guess it must be an electric issue.

Called dealer in Sassari 6 times without luck. Nobody can or wants to speak English or German.
I can still drive and suspension fault goes from orange to red and when slowed down to orange again.
I don‘t know if this takes me back home to Switzerland.
I‘m grateful for any advise or good repair shop (near Sassari)

The thick pipes at the rear of the compressor are intake and exhaust I think.

I think the inlet has a filter which is in the cab behind the rear light.

I think the exhaust must be in a round cylinder near the spare wheel.
Have an inspection near the spare wheel.

It sounds like it can’t exhaust.

Be safe under the car if it’s not working correctly

Pete, thanks for your advise. I will check the rear air lines but I think, the exhaust valve sits on top of the compressor. Maybe it‘s a bad cable. I would need to take the compressor completely out to be able to check the plug and cables up there. On the other hand, the compressor didn‘t got hit.
Or can a bad height sensor cause this without throwing sensor fault?

Sounds more compressor exhaust problem to me.

Does it lower and then rise ?

With the amber suspension light on I cannot get to offroad or access height.
Yesterday I manually lowered the suspension with ‚Test Valve‘ on iidtool. Afterwards it didn‘t want to raise to default height anymore. I reflashed the suspension ECU I managed to raise it back to normal height.

I also checked all fuses under the hood and glove box that are related to suspension. All good.

The fault code points to the compressor, but can it be something else since I didn‘t do any damage to the brand new compressor?

When you changed the hitachi to AMK did you swap the relay, from memory this was quite important and stressed in the LR docs when I did mine.

Also when you hit the underside are you sure there was no damage to the tank
 Must stop buying shiny toys....

darrind: Yes, AMK was installed with a new relay and I also updated ECU firmware.
I hit the frame on a drop on the right side between front door and wheel arch (just in front of the tree bar - the right spot without protection Rolling Eyes ). Compressor and tank are fine, no dings and scratches.
With „Service-Test/RLM-Suspension/Test Valves“ I can manually raise and lower each air strut individually. Last night I levelled the struts for sleeping and this morning the suspension raised just fine but it‘s higher than normal. As soon as I get my hands on a measuring stick I will try to calibrate the suspension if the system allows me.
For now still got amber light even after clearing all faults and it changes to red if driven faster.
