Help required..... Rad Maybe?? Thermostat?? |
|
All
Please give me some ideas...... 2010 LR4
Had a new coolant bottle fitted etc as i thought the sensor had gone as the light popped up occasionally
Now the there is pressure coming from the pipe that leads from the coolant bottle to the thermostat.....
Now... Head gasket test was done and fluid remained blue.... car is not over heating.... fan is working, no coolant lost, no smoke from exhaust and the car runs like an absolute dream....
Any further ideas?? Rad Maybe?? Thermostat??
Cheers

maybe it just needs bleeding ? by loosening that screw (not when the engine is very hot)
and also the one at the front of the engine (if you have one)

Air lock, when air gets warm it expands causing pressure, the hotter it gets the more it expands and eventually boils, the water in the rad must be under pressure to stop it boiling. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Old rule if the fault was not there before you started, it is/was something you have done.
