Help with potential fluid leak..

Just popped out this morning and the car has a puddle under it, appears to be dripping from above the drivers side front lower arm rear bush.

It’s a clear slight browny colour, it smells just a bit metally (don’t really know how else to describe it). It could well be water from being driven around in the rain yesterday, but I’d be surprised if it’s retained enough water to drip all night and create a small patch on the floor.

Has anyone experienced similar or have any idea what this may be?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Personally I’d taste it, but that’s me.

It sounds like it could possibly be brake fluid from your description though, so certainly worth looking into it.

I haven’t got the bottle to taste it, ha. Hopefully I’ll get to the bottom of it. Not the time of year for it.

Thank you for posting this, I’ve just had the arms replaced with new arms that I believe aren’t fluid filled, so I hope it isn’t this.

I’m about to go and have a good look now.

Mechanic friend who is fairly experienced on these has popped round and seems to think it’s caught up water..
