Help please - P2292 Injector control
Hi guys
i have an ongoing problem that the disco feels like its slightly misfiring, not sure it is but feels a bit pulsey whilst driving
i read the codes this weekend and this one popped up
could this be the problem and what is the likely fix, can it be done by myself or is it a specialist job ?
the code is P2292 Injector control pressure erratic
Cheers in advance

Could be a number of issues but start with the low pressure fuel pump and filter!
It could be just a fuel filter change, but its probably unlikely unless its completely gunked! Check the elec values for the lpfp as per Robbies guide and post the results back here! You can do a flow test on the pump if you cant do a pressure test yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

P2292 Injector Control Erratic
Hi,
Did you ever get a resolution to this fault code (P2292 Injector Control Erratic)? Mine has developed the same, persistent error code.
Previously, I followed Robbies guide on the LPFP and it was faulty. Fuel pressure was 1-2PSI and going negative on acceleration.
Replaced the LPFP and now i'm getting 6-7 PSI, dropping to around 3-4PSI on hard acceleration (climbs steadily back to 6 if throttle maintained).
Issues:
- Jerking sensation at around 1~1.5K revs and cruising speeds
- Accompanied by Chattering/screech sound when coming off the throttle
Battery is is in good condition and clocking 14.2V when running.
Fule pressure at idle hovers around ~22kpa
My suspicion is the HPFP, but not sure how to diagnose... can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Darren

Possibly a torque converter issue in the making perhaps?
I know torque converters can make a noise coming off throttle.Stu

Pray god no... I might try some Dr Tranny, see if it alleviates the problem.
I've maintained the transmission fluids over the years and replaced the plastic sump about a year ago. 217K on the clock, so possible the TC might be worn.
