Help Please I am so Confused |
|
Hi Gang,
Got a Disco 4 HSE on order to replace my 2 year old Sport, and I can't wait to get back in a Disco baby.
But I am so confused about the colour choice.
The order is for Silver and Ebony but I like the look of the new Bronze colour you see plastered all over LR advertising.
Has anyone actually seen one in the flesh as the LR advertising pictures can be deceptive.
Help!
Cheers,
Andrew

Yes, it is a good colour. I prefer it to silver tbh.
My favourite colour though, and the one I would have if I were to buy a D4 is Bali Blue.

My order is for Nara Bronze and Ebony. Delivery in three weeks so no pictures available. I don't think that combination was expected or recommended by the dealers so I hope it works. I just thought that lighter trims wold not weather well. New model - new colour.

I was told by my dealer that that colour is Stornaway Grey. Don't know if their correct though? V8NOT - because it's a diesel of course!

My dealer in Stirling has a Nara Bronze D4 and I was very tempted to order one. The bronze looks much better in the flesh than you might imagine, it's not at all boke.

Hi Ya,
Coming back to Scotland in mid November for a trip home to Aberdeen and Edinburgh so might have a trip around the dealers,
The dealers in Aus have very limited cars in stock, all black or sliver.
Cheers,
Andrew

There are pictures of Nara Bronze D4's in my gallery including ours. Absolutely love the colour as does everyone who sees it in the flesh so far.
TBH I don't think there is a 'bad' colour D4 though! I was initially torn between Bronze, Sand or White as we had a Silver D3 so just wanted something a little different this time. As it happens due to the tie in we have with the dealer, Bronze was the choice
Was actually worried about the light trim due to the jobs it has to do for us but standing up well so far and in fact in many ways hides marks and animal hair better than the dark trim of the D3 we had last!
Hope the pictures help

Alowson - IMHO silver doesn't work as well on a D4 as it did on a D3. Bronze is a very good colour for this vehicle as is Ipanema Sand. Don't be frightened of the lighter coloured interior. It actually works very well even in very dirty (muddy, doggy, kiddie) environments. Disco 4 TDV6HSE

I love the silver with black interior on my D4 - it looks really smart and high tech.
It's all down to personal preference. Paul

I just got one in Nara Bronze. I was initially looking for silver or grey which are pretty safe colours. I would never have ordered a D4 in Bronze from only seeing it in the brochure, but after seeing it in the flesh at the dealers I was very impressed so bought it!

Me too leelegend - see my gallery for pics.
I agree - the hint of blue was the clincher - really lifts the silver. Paul

Supercharged: I know, going off-topic, but am I correct in thinking that you've got rear air con control in your D4 HSE? I thought that LR ha removed that.
I should be picking up my new D4 HSE Zermatt Silver & Ebony when I return home at the end of the month, so I'm just wondering whether or not it will have have the rear air con control. I think mine is almost the same as yours, but mine has factory-fit privacy glass and, unfortunately, the 20" wheels.
