Help please!
Hi all,
Whilst driving from Calais down to La Rochelle this evening car performance great until the last 125 km sudden sounding bongs from the dash coupled with special programs off. In addition a variety of dash lights please see enclosed picture. I checked through the info display which indicated Park brake fault suspension lowered special programs off. I pulled in and switched off waited 10 minutes then started engine all ok for next 10km then same as above. Car drives ok just at a lower position. As I am now in rural France with no access to a scanner limited tools, I would appreciate any help or feedback. To add further it would appear to be suspension related, Park brake system appears to be working fine. I am leaning towards rear yaw date sensor issues as light was on as well, not shown in picture, but without a scanner just an educated guess!
Regards
Paul

Did you have the same fault with the old compressor?
Did you also fit a new relay? If not the issue could be the compressor overheating.. when it cools it runs again... the fault vanishes... however with a hole in the tank the compressor soon overheats and cuts out again....
It will only cope with this cycle a few times before it stops working alltogether...
As a quick check you can eliminate a faulty relay (a not uncommon issue.. that also throws up the same axtivity until the compressor burns out).. Just swap over a good relay with the compressor one and see what happens..
Its a bit of a long shot but at worst will eliminate the relay as being the cause of your issues...1 TR6 Rusting away quietly

In terms of the old compressor it was renewed by Land Rover with the modified relay because of a different fault a year ago.

Have you had a wheel alignment done recently. Mine did this has the steering sensor had not be calibrated after alignment. Other issues could be brake light bulbs / switches.

There is a fuse near the relay whose contacts get burnt up - it was a 60 amp fuse but got upgraded to 70 amp

You could try driving with DSC switched off. I had the DSC cutting in on my D3 when driving on the right, switched of the DSC and it was then OK until I had the Steering angle sensor recalibrated when I got home

All modern cars should have a reboot in safe mode option that removes all the things you barely ever use that stop you driving when they -up! and don’t call it limp home...
I don’t need to limp home when my electric mirror fails!!!

Obviously nothing air suspension related as the light isn’t on for that.
Brake bulb or brake pedal switch could be at fault. Also if you’ve hit a big pot hole and moved the steering geometry out. Fair few other options as well like abs sensors or just a bad earth somewhere or wiring fault.
Pete.IID, webasto software and workshop facility's available.

looks like the warning light for the AFS (Adaptive Front Lighting) has also activated.
Did you adjust the Adaptive Xenons for driving on the right?
I know this warning can be triggered by other system failures, it may be triggered by blown bulbs on models without the AFS? It may have sent some form of error code to the CPU.
Just seemed odd as that the AFS amber has been triggered?
I hope this doesn't confuse things further for you but as the cars get older just a possible?

hence why i said steering angle sensor
and speed sensors as they are needed by the AFS and DSC
