help needed cold climate partisapation

Hi
if anybody overseas could help with a bit of investigation please.

I have been working on a solution to starting a d3/lr3 using a resistor to trick the car into thinking its warm as glow plugs and fbh are both broken. (long story see simple solution post)

if anybody in a cold place -5 to -10 could unplug the temp sensor under the bonnet and put a resistor in the plug see link end with a value between 3.8 to 11 kohms and see if the car starts.
