Question, seen as how this is the most recent of 100+ threads on the EPB: Is it mandatory to manually relatch the EPB after pulling the emergency release? I had the dreaded screech two days ago, pulled the emergency release, very easy to release actually. I then pulled the FL8 fuse to avoid accidentally applying the EPB again.
Now I don't know if I have to open the module per Disco Mikeys instructions to get the EPB working again. Tomorrows task is cleaning and readjusting the EPB, including disks off, but do I need to open the module up as well? I've got an AP200, but I don't know if it has the "unwind EPB" option.
Oh, and just to mention it, the error code I got was the same as the OP, C1A43-00.

Hey Captain, I didn’t have to manually re latch it. Once the codes were cleared it’s been working fine. I may have been lucky with it being down to needing shoe adjustment rather than being an issue with the epb itself though.2008 HSE Stornoway Grey

Thanks Kevin. I don't think I've got an EPB issue either, the shoes have been making slight squealing noises for a few weeks now, and were on my to-do list for the holidays. Got bumped up a few places now
