hi,
i have the bumper cut-outs done, and i am trying to line up the fog lights to be installed into the mounting bracket eye-lets on the bumper. The fog-light has "top" written on it, so i am assuming this has to stay alligned to the top. The problem is i cannot seem to get any of the 3 holes to line up with the bracket eye-lets.
i am sure i am screwing this up somehow but i cannot see how, help would be greatly appreciated if you can figure out what i am messing up!
thanks
adam

BarryG is the man you need.
He did a very detailed thread on installation of these lights.
[Tried a quick search but couldn't find.]
Suggest if you cann't find the thread - pm him.
Good luck! I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

I found BarryG's Driving lights install, not a fog-light install : http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/post168199.html#168199 Dr. Ian Malcolm:

thanks guys, think i have read every thread and looked at every pic now. I will have another go with a clear head when i get back this evening, but I still cannot see how the mounting points on the bumper bracket are ever going to align with the holes on the light fixture.

Have you definately got the correct light set?
Are they 'L/R handed' correctly?
As mentioned BarryG is the man!
I believe he also lives in Co Tipperary I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

I tried to post earlier today from the PDA but it wouldn't work
As stated above, they are L/R handed, subtle difference but it will affect the line up of the mounts. Each lamp is stamped with an L or R in the black casing. 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

Hi Adam , snap with Andy above. Was on my way back from Galway to Dub when I spotted your post ( on the pda) but couldnt reply as I was in a hurry to say the least.I agree with the guys above , most prob you are getting your L/R mixed up or you have two L's or two R's ( hope not).I actually passed through your neck of the woods this morning and had I known your prob yesterday would have offered to drop by.
Let us know how you get on & good luck
Ron , you're going to get a smack from Barry for thinking he was from Tipperary ( He's from Limerick) , as they say down there , HOW VERY DARE YOU

Is that my knee caps gone then
sorry BarryG, just looked at the location and it pinpointed just off the N24 between Limerick and Tipperary.
Obviously picked the wrong one of the two.
Might as well pop out for a walk, whilst I can still do it!
