help alarm sensitivity
having just had my wing mirror ripped off (thief stealing mirror) I noticed the alarm is ..er useless
when the car is locked I can kick, bash, thump, hammer the car and the alarm does not go off..
I am in the dealer now getting it repaired but they say this is normal for the alarm.I even tried another customers range rover and his was the same (he was not amused having paid a quarter of a million pounds for a car with no usable alarm)
The alarm does go off when the key is used to activate the door (voltage drop detection I guess)
questions?
is this the same with your D4?
can this be changed? (dealer says not)
Any earlybirds able to answer this as I will be in the dealers for the next few hours. It is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.

Not sure about sensitivity, but I have mentioned to the dealers that the alarm when it goes off is so quiet it's useless!!,they tested it & said it was fine ,so that's one of the reasons I had a tracker installed Www.devonchilliman.co.uk

how are you locking the car ?
if you lock it by pressing the door handle buttons then the motion sensor etc arms.
if you lock it by pressing the lock-button on the key, you need to lock it twice to set the motion sensor etc.
as for the volume of the alarm, i had a bumbble bee inside my D4 last week and it set off the alarm. I was very loud, vertainly as load if not louder than the D3!!Duncan

If I'd known I was going to be so thirsty this morning I'd have drunk more beer last night.
