Help, advice needed ref expo rack cowl
Since the local scrotes have taken an interest in my lightforces which were mounted up on the rack i have decided that i am going to mount them ala G4 styley. My thinking is if they are mounted up through holes in the cowl and all the brackets and bolts etc are in behind the cowl then this may make them decide to leave it as it will maybe just to difficult for them.
The help advice i am after is, does anyone know if you can get the cowl already prepped from somewhere and roughly how much i should be looking at to pay, or if anyone has diagrams, measurements so that i don't mess mine up big time. also where the best place is to put the mounting brackets and what design is preferred. I know i am asking a lot but if i cut the cowl wrong then there is no fix. Knowing my luck and patience i will maff it up.POT NOODLE NAVIGATION CHALLENGE 2010 WINNER

Look in my gallery (Component Pics & Diagrams) for the dimensions of the brackets - stronger than the G4 ones but principly the same. I cut the holes into the cowl myself, that way you can experiment a little and make them as small as possible to make it as difficult as possible to for scouts to get access to what lies beneath.LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

cutting your own holes won't be any worse than the precut G4 ones - mine looks like a blind mine with a blunt saw cut the holes Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
