Thanks Dave.
Do you think it is worth at least registering the fault/concern to LR via the dealer or via Liam?
The more we complain maybe they will listen....then again it is LR!

Hi
Hope everyone had a good Christmas!
Personally, had too much to eat and drink but that's another story!
My car is booked in at dealers in Bristol on 10th Jan. Liam did the necessary, so let's hope for the best! Will report back when/if anything of interest.
Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year everyone !!!
An update ............
Mine went in on the 2nd Jan to try and rectify the hesitation problem.
Service manager told me when I dropped the car off ............"I really don't know what LR want us to do about the problem, but we are going to liaise with LR Tech guys" ............ said it all really, so I didn't hold out much joy for a solution !
Their technician rang me in the afternoon to ask what the problem was exactly as he was about to contact LR and inform them and see if there was a known fix ?
On pick up later that day I was informed that a 'Brake Switch Adjustment' had been carried out as LR have no solution to the hesitation problem as of yet, but are in talks with ZF, the people who supply the gearbox and as soon as a solution is found they will be in touch !
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it's only what the majority of us where expecting, as I don't think even Jaguar have found a solution to a similar problem they have had for several years with their ZF boxes.
The car is better after the brake adjustment but not significantly so.
Anyone experiencing this problem, which I think is mainly all 2012 8 speed owners, that they contact their dealer for the brake switch adjustment as it does help ........................... and then when LR have had enough of paying dealers for this service they may find a solution a little sooner !

The zf stuff is a read herring or just pure bs! It's to do with the engine mapping an the tps simple as.
Has anyone with this issue thought of trying a je remap or the like? FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner
Test piloted a new D4 XS SDV6.. Gone and being forgotten i hope!!

Had the LRA guy out today, as he had turned up in a MY12 D4 I asked him about the D4 hesitation, yes it was occurring on his car. I also asked if the RRS was the same, apparently the only difference is the software, D4 is adaptive, RRS isn't, the RRS doesn't suffer the hesitation......... Joined the BMWX5 45e group

I had a call from Liam today asking how mine went. I explained that the dealer had said it was because of the emissions and he did it agree. Apparently one of the jags also suffers, but at 70 mph rather hanlow speed. I believe JLRvare taking this seriously and would hope that we will hear of a solution in the not too distant future. That's good to know, thanks Dave.
Could they not just use the RRS software in the D4? Would be one solution.

My 2010 D4 has had an intermittent fault ever since we got it 18 months ago. It will suddenly get a hesitation in the throttle response, typically pulling out from a junction, so I give a bit more throttle and then it takes off with a lurch. It also is a pain in heavy traffic when trying to trickle along, the delay means that it's continually lurching.
Once its been parked overnight and cooled down it will be ok for a week or so.
The car had this fault when we test drove it but the dealer diagnosed a brake sensor problem (this cuts engine power when braking?) fixed it and we re-test drove it and was all fine.
However it keeps re-occurring; it's been in to dealer about five times now and each time they say it all sorted. Last time was in October, new sensor fitted has been fine - driving beautifully. Until yesterday fault came back with a vengeance - horrible to drive.
Land Rover Assistance on their way.
Anybody got any ideas - I want to get this fixed once and for all (warranty runs out in April)

I've had this problem since we bought the car new in 2012!
I asked last Feb if I could have the RRS software installed, and LR refused!
I dislike the car with a passion and would love to get out of it but simply cannot afford to take the loss!
It is simply the worst £52k I have spent in my life.

Have you PM'd Liam via another topic on the go. They are gathering the evidence and look like a fix is being sought.
