I had problems with one of the dash heater vents. The sliding switch at the front is connected to an arm that moves the gate at the back. The arm had simply become disconnected. When the car was at the dealer I asked them to take a look at this. They did improve it but not much. I had another look and found a cable was being dragged down everytime the fascia was pulled back into position. This then blocked the gate at the back and popped the arm out. The cable was from an after-market phone kit. This has now been moved well out of the way and I am now blasted with air! The gate at the back of these vents can be easily jammed - it is worth checking they are clear and the arm is actually moving it.
