Heated washer jets

My heated washer jets are not working, I've checked fuse 12 and that's fine - has anyone else had this problem and found the cure Question The jets were replaced under extended warranty early this year and were definitely working for the few weeks after when the snow and ice were around but not now it's back again Rolling Eyes

You sure the jets aren't working? Mine was frozen solid in the pipes and bottle yesterday. Shocked

Not sure, it is possible though - however it's not the first time they havent worked in icy conditions over the last week or two. The jets them self don't get warm though like they used to do.

I have since drained the windscreen wash completely and refilled with a lot stronger winter mix so will have to see.

What controls the heated washer jets - seeing as there's no switch to turn them on, I guess that they come on with something else..........but what ?

I've had a root about under the bonnet, and it definitely appears that I've got heated jets, but I don't think they're working - havent checked fuse 12, as it's far too cold and dark now !

Heated washer jets? I didn't know I had heated.

Do all TD6 HSE have heated?

Does the SE have heated ones?

I had snow on the bonnet last nite when I went out. I put heated screens on (back and front) to see if that activated them but no tail-tail signs of heat rings on the bonnet.

Guess its either the fuse (will wait for the weekend) or I aint got this option.

I too have not had any washers for a couple of weeks. Its got a 50/50 solution. Seems strange to blow fuses, none of my other cars to - oh, apart from the Boys navara which does it at the least sign of ice.

Need to make time to check washer fuses when light enuf

My 2005 SE has them as a standard fit as I checked them just this morning with a covering of snow on the car . I switched the engine and the defrost/demist switch on and after a few mins I could see the snow had slightly melted on the bonnet on the passenger side . after approx 15 mins I switched them off and back on again and five mins later I could see the black plastic of the washer jet on the passenger side . The bonnet had approx half an inch of snow on it . The Drivers side did not work at all which corresponds to the fact that it was frozen the previous day and took a lot of de icer to work well . I initially checked the hand book and double checked the fuse loaction under the bonnet to make sure that they were fitted . I also coincidently had put a new fuse in for the washer pump as that had blown which is why I was having such fun in the cold as my wife said the washers were frozen and I was supprised as I am currently running on a 50 % screen wash mix with a recent top up of a 75 % mix . Regards Jonathan.
